How would you like

to link you up with someone who has what you want, or wants what
you have. Here's the deal. You send an email to the Swap Shop
with your equipment, email address and/or telephone number. You
must agree to your email address or phone number to be published
here in the Want Ads Section. We publish it here for a two
week period, then it comes down. You may resubmit if you like
after the two weeks if the equipment is not swapped by then. Simple
eh? Wanna try it? We'll list all the equipment here, on our Want

WINTER 2009 SHINNY
RINGETTE AT THE BOB MACQUARRIE RECREATIONAL COMPLEX
|
Hello ringette fans,
The new ringette season is here and with it
returns Shinny Ringette. Thanks to the Bob MacQuarrie
Recreation Center - Orleans, formerly ORC, we
are being given the same hours as last year.
There is a nominal cost for the shinny this
year as City policy dictates a cost of $2 per
player for each session. We will be on the
Roger Senecal Rink (formerly called the Orleans
Rink) every Friday as follows, effective October
2nd through March 26th...
Fridays 4 PM to 5 PM, exception dates
being, December 25th, January 1st, February
5th and February 19th. (No Shinny)
As in previous years I will be on ice for all
sessions. Each session will be made up of Petite,
Tween and Junior (with a sprinkling of Belle)
players divided as equally as we can and made
as competitive as can be for the girls to enjoy
the game. The girls will play against like skills
and benefit from some challenges given the number
of players and amount of balancing required
to make the lines match.
It is compulsory that the players wear full
equipment as per ringette rules and that they
abide by all rules while playing. Again I will
be on ice for each session to ensure the rules
are followed and the game is played with all
players working hard on every shift, having
fun and enjoying ringette.
