While Submiting this form,if you get an ERROR Message of any kind, PLEASE Press your Browser BACK BUTTON in the top left
corner of your screen to get back to this Page. If your ERROR Message says something to the effect of: "Sorry, but I cannot figure
out who sent you here. Your browser is not sending an HTTP_REFERER. If you are using Norton Firewall (any version), please
see the Norton support site."

The "fix" is in your own computer in the Norton Internet Security files. Fred Black from Nepean, experimented with the instructions from the Norton Support Site. It worked without any error messages.. The procedure is basically what Norton suggests on its web site but making the change for "www.sibername.biz" (where the form is actually going) rather than the NCCRL address. The step by step procedure is:

  •
  • Open Norton Internet Security, click on "Privacy Control" and then "Configure".

  •
  • Click on "Advanced" in the window that pops up.

  •
  • Another window will pop up, click on "Add Site" and then enter "www.sibername.biz" in the box that opens.

  •
  • Back to the "Advanced" window, Uncheck "Use Default Settings" under "Information about visited sites" (2nd block of things on the right) and then select "Permit" instead of "Permit Same Site".

  •
  • Click "OK" in the "Advanced" window and then "OK" in the "Configure" window.

If this does not help you can still try the previous "fix": Before Fred's techinical fix above, I found that when my form was all filled in ready to submit, by clicking on my Norton Internet Security Icon in the Lower Right hand corner of my screen, I was able to select "disable" which then allowed me to click Submit with no error message. As soon as I submitted the form, I immediately selected "enable" my Norton Security System again. My Internet Security was off for approximately 3 seconds.

    Summer Camp Position Descriptions

Recreational Day Camp Director - responsible to the Association executive, will work with all other staff of the camp to develop a schedule and daily program for approval by GCRA and to oversee all camp activities for the week. The person in this position is also the Off-Ice Co-ordinator, directly overseeing off-ice activities during the camps. Preference will be given to applicants with related experience and qualifications. Applicants for this position must be 18 years of age or older. The Camp Director’s position is a two week assignment (i.e. both Summer Camps). The successful applicant must have First Aid training, or be prepared to undertake training at GCRA expense (cost of the course only).

On-Ice Director - works with and is responsible to the Camp Director. This staff member is responsible for developing and submitting to the Camp Director and GCRA, an on-ice program for each of the age levels at the camp (usually three age groups). Directly oversees all on-ice activity during the camp. Preference will be given to candidates with related experience. Applicants for this position must be 18 years of age or older. Preference may be given to a candidate who is able to work both camps.

Senior Counselors - responsible to the Camp Director. There will be a number of camp counselors required to work with the Camp Director and On-Ice Director in contributing to the development and delivery of the week’s program. Counselors may be assigned to either on-ice or off-ice activities, or a combination of both. Staff in these positions may be given responsibility for certain activities or portions of the program for development purposes. These may be one or two week positions, depending upon the number of qualified applicants. Applicants must be 16 years of age minimum.

Junior Counselors - there will likely be two such positions at each recreational day camp. As the name suggests, this is a development position that would be suitable for younger candidates, or for those who have little or no experience in a summer camp environment. Duties will be varied. An honorarium is paid.

    Competitive Day Camp

Camp Counselors - reporting the Camp Director, assist in the development of the camp program and schedule, and participate or lead in certain aspects of the daily camp program.
