2005/2006 Newsletter #1


Registration for the 2005-2006 Season.
     

Enclosed is your pre-printed registration form. (It was mailed out to Previously Registered Members.) Forms may also be found on the GCRA Website. If any information is incorrect please make corrections in the area provided. New registrants must fill in all details requested. The completed form and cheque for the appropriate amount should be forwarded to the GCRA Registrar at the address shown. Any new registrants must provide a copy of their birth certificate. Proof of age is requested when registering players with the Ontario Ringette Association.

       
  

Registrations received by July 30th are entitled to a $10 discount and can be paid with a post dated cheque dated for July 30th, 2005.

       
Walk-In registration, held on Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at the Orleans Rec complex will not allow for any discount.
       
Those unable to provide payment in full by July 30th can provide payment in installments as outlined below:
  •  
    		• Upon registration, 50% of registration fee to be paid in full.
  •  
    		• Prior to September 30th, additional 25% of registration fee to be paid in full.
  •  
    		• Prior to October 30th, final 25% of registration fee to be paid in full.
       
    There will be a "Bring a Friend Promotion early in the 2005-2006 season, stay tuned for details.

    The Player Development Committee is planning Power Skating and Skills Sessions for all players to be available during the regular season. please check the Website regularly for dates and how to register.

           
    There are still some vacancies in our appointed positions. Please examine the list and contact a member of the executive if you are interested. Thank you to our new volunteers who stepped forward at the AGM.

    The 2005 Tryout Schedule will be posted on the Association website during the last two weeks of August. If you do not have access to the internet, we would be pleased to mail you a tryout schedule if you telephone us at 830-9124 - just leave your name and address on the recording.

           

    A New beginning

    At the Annual General Meeting of May 11, 2005, the Executive for 2005-06 was appointed. Since that time, the Executive has been working diligently to prepare for the upcoming season. Your Executive for 2005-06 is as follows:
