Ottawa AA Belles are National Champions, defeating Alberta 4-3 Saturday afternoon to win the Gold Medal for Canadian supremacy. They represented Ontario at the Canadian Ringette Championships finishing first overall in round robin play. They recovered from their first loss of the season to knock off vaunted Alberta in the last round-robin game to secure first place and the bye to the final. Alberta was undefeated in round robin play until that game. Alberta defeated the host team in the Semi Final to reach the Championship Game Saturday against Ottawa.   Congratulations Ottawa!

GCRA Junior AA Devils representing Ontario at the Nationals, won a thrilling 5- 3 final round-robin game Friday morning to put themselves into a tie for third place with BC. It was the self same BC team that they had to defeat to raise themselves into third spot and a Mini Game matchup with guess who... Yes BC. The Devils played their hearts out all week long losing the Mini-Game to BC 2-0, and the second of those two into an empty net with a half second to play.  Congratulations on all your hard work ladies.
