Out of Area Policy


Definitions

  •  
  • A Gloucester-Cumberland resident is a player whose principal residence is within the jurisdiction of the GCRA, as defined in the by-laws of the Association.

  •  
  • An out of area player is a player whose principal place of residence is outside the geographic jurisdiction of the GCRA.


    Policy Procedures

    Tryouts at the competive level are open to all players from all associations.

    The following procedure will be followed:

    1.

    The maximum number of out of area players per team will be two (this number excludes goaltenders). In competitive tryouts an out of area player must be ranked in the top six by the Association appointed evaluators to be considered for a position on the team. Any exception will require approval by the GCRA executive

     

    Novice age out of area players will only be considered on a case by case basis .
