Nationals Financial Assistance Policy

Preamble

Subject to availability of funds and approval of the Executive, GCRA may provide financial assistance to competitive teams going to Nationals covering up to 15% of the team's total budgeted costs up to a maximum of $2,500 per team per qualifying year. Pick-ups from other Associations are excluded from the calculations. Players¹ from GCRA who are picked up by other Association teams will be supported on a pro-rated basis.

Procedures

A budget is to be submitted to the VP Competitive ten days after the Provincial Championship (refer to Scenario 1 or 2). It must include Travel to/from Nationals' site, local ground transportation based on four per van/three per car, lodging based on four players/two bench staff per room and food based on a maximum of $25 per day per player/bench staff. Upon approval, funds will be forwarded to the Team Manager.

Scenario #1 - Including airfare (based on 16 players and 3 bench staff):

NOTE: IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR FUNDING, ALL COMPETITIVE AA TEAMS (EXCLUDING PETITE) MUST WORK A MINIMUM OF 20 HOURS AS ARENA TROUBLE SHOOTERS DURING THE ANNUAL GCRA TOURNAMENT IN FEBRUARY.
