Ringette Association (GCRA) GCRA Statistician: Rick Purcell Note to those Team Staff that were in the habit of dropping the game sheets off to Rick at his home, he has moved out to "almost Navan" 1750 Arrowgrass Way so that may not be so convenient anymore.
The Home Team Reports Game results of regular league games immediately following each game to the GCRA Website using the Report Game Scores ICON, (Scoreboard at the top of the initial GCRA web page). Tournament games are not reported. Additionally, Regular League Game score sheets are placed in the Ray Friel #1 drop box. The Game Score Report goes directly to the GCRA and NCRRL statisticians including the NCRRL Webmaster. The report is used to determine team standings and game reports to the various newspapers. The statisticians keep track of all games played and the results. Please fill in all information and keep us informed of any UN-played and/or rescheduled games using the same reporting format on the GCRA website. The reports you submit and provide are sent to approximately 65 persons involved with the sport. The Team Manager usually coordinates the game sheets before and after each game, reporting scores and delivering the completed game sheets. Should you or your team manager require assistance or have any problems reporting a score or rescheduled game please call the statistician at 613-830-8820. Official Game Report The Home Team provides the Game Report sheet, Scorekeeper and Timekeeper. Game numbers are on the Website on the schedule and all game results are posted here so that you can keep track of all teams in your division. The Home Team is responsible for providing the game sheet and completes the information at the top and the Home team list before giving it to the Visiting team before the game. Information from the Home and Visiting Teams must be complete before the game begins; this is checked by the Referee. If stickers are used for team lists, remember to stick on all three copies, as the reports are carbon-copied. At the end of the game, reports are signed by the referees, copies distributed to Home and Visiting teams, the score is reported electronically and the white copy delivered by the Home team to the Statistician in person, by mail or via the drop box at Ray Friel#1. These are used to verify the electronic report and to solve any noted discrepancies. Each team is provided with Report forms for the season. Instruction on how to complete the reports and assistance at initial games is available. It is a good idea to make a copy of the NCRRL Rules and Procedures, including use of the Mercy Rule, and keep them with each game score report at the game. (Attach them to the clipboard with the report sheet) If a controversial situation occurs, the rules are readily available for referral by the coaches and referees (and, of course, the parents!) Have a great Ringette
season, looking forward to regular and accurate reporting of game statistics. |
